Brent Craig
I learnt mucking about with clay in Adult classes at Onslow College in 1991, and joined the Otaki Pottery Club in 2005. I have my own studio called Awatea Pottery. I'm only limited by my imagination and can make anything out of clay; but my main skill is on the wheel, where I create practical domestic ware. Platters / plates / casseroles / tagines / bowls etc. I enjoy the creativity of manipulating clay and the process of decorating the final pot. I approach my teaching in the same way, and by motivating my students to express their creative talents. I get a great "buzz" out of seeing them getting enjoyment from what they have created. |
