Monica McCormack

I trained as a production potter under the Crafts Council of Ireland in Thomastown, Kilkenny and worked in various studio potteries in Ireland for several years before coming to New Zealand 21 years ago.

In New Zealand I completed a Diploma in Ceramic Art which allowed me to explore and experiment with new aspects of working with clay.

While raising children and working in other fields I have always had a home studio and continued my creative journey. Some of the many things I love about pottery are the endless possibilities to create, the constant challenge and the fact that there is always something new to learn.
