Susannah Kyle

I have always had a passion for art, from when I was a top fine arts secondary school student, painting with acrylic, but I fell in love with pottery when I first saw a video of the pottery wheel and was absolutely mesmerised by it. 

I have now been a potter for almost 4 years, at the Ōtaki Pottery Club, taking inspiration from nature.

I enjoy working with slip and painting with underglaze to add finer detail to pieces and I work with mixed media to enhance my pieces. 

After teaching a few friends how to do the pottery wheel, this made me want to become a tutor as I enjoy teaching people creative skills. ​
