The gas firing scheduled for Saturday 7th October 7.45am start is postponed.
New dates: firing Saturday 21 st October, 7.45am start
loading Thursday 19th October 2pm, unloading Monday 23 rd 2.00pm
Please have your work on the gas firing shelves by 5pm, Wednesday 18th October
THIS POSTPONEMENT IS BECAUSE WITH JUST 7 DAYS TILL THE PREVIOUSLY INTENDED LOADING DAY THERE IS INSUFFICIENT WORK IN PROSPECT
The new date will still allow firing of work for the Kapiti Art Trail, which is at the beginning of November.
BUT unless the shelves are filled over the next 2 weeks even this rescheduled firing may also need to be reconsidered.
I am hoping the revised dates will ease the pressure to get work completed and glazed.
The committee has approved a recommendation I submitted about the charging for firing in the gas kiln. There will now be NO additional charge for gas firing over electric firing, so the charge made after bisc firing will cover any firing, electric or gas.
The only exception to this will be for work bisc fired external to the club system.
This is an early Christmas bonus for the gas firers!!
